As Superintendent of the Wheeler County Schools, I am extremely blessed and honored to serve our wonderful students, schools, and communities. I firmly believe that it takes our homes, schools, and communities working together to insure the success of our students. We are all in this together!
Our main purpose is to provide students the opportunity to receive a quality education in order to prepare them for life. We want our students to graduate from Wheeler County High School ready to compete in a global society. We want them to understand that ‘Graduation’ is the only option.
Our Board of Education makes decisions with the best interests of all students in mind. The board believes that we all share in the success of every student and the school system as a whole. This is why they will continue to strive to create and maintain a collaborative relationship among all stakeholders.
Our staff (at the district office and at all Wheeler County Schools) strives to serve the students, parents, and taxpayers of Wheeler County with care and dedication. They know and understand that building positive and productive relationships is one essential key to success, in and out of the classroom.
We want all visitors, parents and community members to feel welcome as they visit our facilities, call us, or visit our website. Wheeler County Schools will be known as the premier rural school system by virtue of the positive relationships that are formed, and the resulting achievement attained through such relationships.
Please let us know if we can be of assistance to you or to your child. We invite you to support our schools by volunteering your time, or simply by supporting our efforts as we strive for student success. Thanks for your interest in our schools, the website, and for your continuous support. We sincerely appreciate it!
If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please feel free to call or come by the board of education office. Thank you again for your tremendous support!
God bless and Go Dawgs!
Dr. Mark Davidson, Wheeler County Superintendent
